The Business Administration Support Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Administration Officer Reliever (After Hours) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

  • To provide and undertake a diverse range of highly responsive and confidential after-hours administration support services across the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
  • The position requires the successful applicant to work a rotational roster, including after-hours and weekends.

About the Team

Business Administration Support Services provides a mechanism to support various work units within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service with appropriately skilled administration staff to backfill administration positions to meet service delivery needs.

The vast majority of the roles for which Business Administration Support Services provides support are patient-facing roles and will involve interaction with patients. The vacancies Business Administration Support Services supports occur as a result of various forms of planned, unplanned or extended leave, including but not limited to:

  • Emergent leave
  • Planned Leave
  • Secondments / Higher duty appointments
  • Approved project specific work
