The role 

Reporting to the Director, Office of the Deputy Director-General. Your role will deliver outcomes for key divisional priorities, determined in conjunction with members of the Office, the Deputy Director-General and the Corporate Services Leadership Team.

The role contributes to and leads key projects and initiatives, facilitating the effective delivery of key Divisional initiatives, while ensuring that best practice project management methodologies are applied.

The role works with in conjunction with other key roles and requires work across multiple teams to support key outcomes within the Division.

The successful person

You will have demonstrated:

  • Demonstrated high level ability to manage and deliver complex projects of varying sizes, through all phases of the project life cycle, applying project management and change management methodologies with respect to IT and non-IT related projects.
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and application of appropriate project management methodologies, and an ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate decision making processes, planning and implementation of change.
  • Proven high-level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program and project environment

The division is responsible for leading the department's budget, financial reporting processes, human resource services, knowledge management, legal services, business enhancement and facilities management activities.  More broadly, the division is also responsible for leading system-wide industrial relations activities, certain human resources functions undertaken on a system-wide basis, and other corporate services functions.
