About us:

The Pharmacy Department at the Rockhampton Hospital manages all medications across the hospital, including the preparation and supply of all inpatient medication on the wards, and prescription and dispensary services for patients visiting the hospital.

We provide medication management services to inpatients, outpatients and day admitted patients at facilities located across the hospital and health service.

About the role:

To deliver high level clinical Pharmacy services within the allocated unit/s as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health. Work to provide leadership and deliver high level client-focussed pharmacy services to patients in the Cancer Care service of Central Queensland.

To lead and develop the electronic oncology information management system.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must possess a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Pharmacy and registration or eligibility for registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Proven experience in a clinical pharmacy position, preferably in cancer care and a demonstrated ability to apply evidence in a practical manner to achieve improved patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and maintain relationships with senior health professionals and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with electronic information management systems and to develop practice and system improvements to improve quality, safety and efficient in delivering healthcare.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $152,776 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $62.75 - $67.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
