Established in 2017, the division has grown into a strong team comprising of pediatric gastroenterologists, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, endoscopy staff and our medical office assistant. Our additional pediatric GI platforms include a diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy service, a biologic infusions center, a liver transplant clinic, a rapid access celiac service and an emerging TPN program. Together we provide care to over 1,700 patients in the province, performing over 200 endoscopies per year. Quality improvement initiatives are utilized to facilitate optimization through the intersection between academic research and clinical practice. Research collaboration in inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal failure networks provide opportunities for participation in and initiation of multi-center studies.The position will have an emphasis on patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Opportunities for teaching are available, as medical students and residents attend clinics and patient rounds during clinical rotations.
