Safety Specialist who will be working primarily on two (2) projects in NB Power’s Enterprise Project Management Office and may be extended to other projects with a tentative start date of the week of April 29, 2024 and tentative end date December 20th, 2024. These two projects consist of the Nepisiguit Generating Station’s rubber dam replacement project and Dalhousie Oil Tank Decommissioning project. The work allocation will be split between the two projects or other projects as needed.

Experience Needed:

• Hydro generating stations experience
• Working around water experience
• Demolition experience
• Confined space and working from heights experience in a safety role
• CRSP & NCSO Certification
• NB Power experience is ideal

This is a hydroelectric power generation station, not nuclear but can consider nuclear candidates. Field experience is mandatory.

Location of Work:

Nepisiguit Generating station is located at 3024 Nepisiguit Falls Road, Nepisiguit Falls, New Brunswick. Dalhousie Oil tanks are located at 101 Thermal Lane, Dalhousie, New Brunswick. It is anticipated that 10 hours per week of overtime will be required.

A per-diem of $150/working day will be provided if the person whose normal or temporary home base is greater than 100 km from work location and $250/working day if home base is greater than 200 km. Please note that NB Power will not pay for travel time.
