Are you a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or kinesiologist with experience in rehabilitation program development and evaluation? We're looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team to review external service provider programs that help provide quality service and support for injured workers. You'll connect with clinical service providers throughout the province and prepare reports on your findings, participate on committees to relay recommendations on external providers, and work as a clinical resource.
This Quality Assurance Supervisor position is a temporary assignment of approximately one year - a great opportunity to try a new role, move on after your assignment, or explore avenues to stay.
How you'll make a difference: You'll ensure we offer effective and evidence-based access to programs and services to help people recover when they've been injured at work.
Where you'll work
WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll have opportunities to work from home along with scheduled days in our Richmond office.
What you'll do
  • Field inquiries from both internal and external customers pertaining to the service delivery of your assigned programs
  • Investigate, action, and develop recommendations on service complaints related to your assigned programs
  • Conduct virtual and onsite visits to external service providers of clinical services to review WorkSafeBC funded services being provided for injured workers and to confirm contractual compliance; this may include interviews with injured workers to discuss their experience with the service
  • Assess relevant information regarding services and prepare reports on findings including outcome measures, compliance with expected standards, areas that require improvement, and major deficiencies and recommendations on improvements required or service provider status

Is this a good fit for you?
We're looking for someone who can:
  • Work as a resource and expert on your assigned programs to both internal and external stakeholders, answering a variety of questions and assisting with concerns
  • Work collaboratively in team settings (in person and virtually) with a solution-focused mindset
  • Apply clinical knowledge on evidence-based practice for quality assurance on assigned program services
  • Develop and present educational sessions for external service providers and internal WorkSafeBC staff, both in group and individual settings
  • Maintain the currency of your professional skills by appropriate continuing education, such as accessing professional journals and attendance at lectures, conferences, courses, and professional meetings
  • Travel to locations in BC and stay overnight as required
