The scheduled shifts are primarily Monday-Fridayday shifts with some off shifts and weekends. Hours may vary based onthe needs of the department. You will work on-site primarily at AmericanFamily Children's Hospital located in Madison, WI. We are seeking aRegistered Nurse (RN) to: * Provide clinical expertise and support tonursing staff at American Family Children's Hospital (AFCH) with afocus on inpatient pediatric care and outpatient pediatric proceduraland infusion care. * Areas of pediatric inpatient support include pedshematology, oncology, neurology and ear, nose and throat (ENT) in anacuity adaptable unit that cares for general care and intermediate (IMC)care patients. * Areas of pediatric outpatient support includeinfusions and procedures with sedation in the pediatric Diagnostic andProcedure Center. * Implement customized evidence-based advancednursing interventions, including the provision of direct care, toimprove nurse-sensitive outcomes. * Act as a clinical expert forspecific clinical populations. RN-NurseSpecialist: * Minimum - BSN and Must obtain Master's degree in Nursingor doctoral degree (DNP) in relevant specialty within five (5) years ofstart date in the Nurse Specialist position. * Preferred - Master's ordoctoral degree (DNP or PhD) within 6 months of start date. WorkExperience : Clinical Nurse Specialist: * Minimum - Two years ofrelevant clinical nursing experience. * Preferred - Three years ofrelevant clinical nursing experience, previous experience as a clinicalnurse specialist, experience in an academic medical center. RN-NurseSpecialist: * Minimum - Three years of relevant clinical nursingexperience * Preferred - Previous experience as a nurse specialistand/or nurse working in an expanded role and experience in an academicmedical center. Licenses and Certifications : Minimum: * Licensed as aRegistered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by ajurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact. * CPR/BLSCertification Preferred: * Certification in specialty area of practice.CNS certification.
