The Position: You will be working in the Emergency Department and also assisting in Medical Cover for the Inpatient Ward.
The Facility: The Hospital is the largest public hospital for the region. It provides care to a population in excess of 500,000 through a range of services that include acute inpatient and day services, outpatient services, women’s and children’s services, paediatrics and pathology. The Emergency Department sees over 90 000 patients per year, with approximately 20% paediatric age group. The department has a diverse and interesting case-mix, with a high trauma load due to its role as the only trauma centre in this catchment area. The Location: This city overflows with cultural treasures; known for its fantastic festivals and thriving food scene, home to national monuments, art galleries, museums and leading universities and prestigious schools. Take a short drive to the Snowy Mountains, popular year-round. In the summer, the region offers fabulous hiking, horseback riding, water sports, and fishing and in the winter, skiers flock.
The Requirements:
Currently hold AHPRA registration.
