The Role
The role involves providing medical assessment and management as part of a multidisciplinary team in the rehabilitation unit. The registrar is expected to actively contribute to the rehabilitation process and discharge planning, aiming for the best possible outcomes for patients and their families. Rehabilitation focuses on restoring individuals to their highest level of function after injury, surgery, or illness.

The Location


The Facility 
The Rehabilitation Unit features 16 in-patient beds, 15 day therapy slots, and a dedicated clinic area for amputee services and post-rehabilitation follow-up. The unit commonly deals with cases such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic, cardio-respiratory, renal, musculoskeletal, amputee, spinal injury, and re-conditioning following medical or surgical illness.

The Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Current Registration with AHPRA
