The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Director (Occupational Therapy) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Responsible for the professional oversight of all occupational therapists, comprising approximately 140 registered occupational therapists
- Responsible for providing strategic and high level leadership for Occupational Therapy to ensure the delivery of effective, safe and quality clinical service
- Responsible for the operational management of Occupational Therapy services within designated clinical areas, comprising of health practitioners, operational and administration staff
- May be professionally responsible for other support staff, including occupational therapy allied health assistants and recreation officers
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised tertiary institution
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 12 months, with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $178 659 - $191 461 per annum

The position has operational responsibilities of Occupational Therapy service in a variety of clinical practice across the emergency, acute, rehabilitation and outpatient areas of the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH), Southport, Robina Hospital and Tugun Satellite Hospital.
