About us:

Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Unit (NMWU) is a Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) resource unit that supports the Nursing and Midwifery profession in strategic recruitment and retention.

About the role:

The Nurse Manager is accountable at an advanced level of practice for the coordination of safe, quality, and cost-effective nursing/midwifery workforce management and the provision of human, fiscal and material resources within the Central Queensland Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Development Unit.

The Nurse Manager provides leadership in the recruitment, retention, and professional governance activities to support the implementation and evaluation of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service Nursing Workforce Plan, in line with the CQHHS Destination 2030 Strategic Plan.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have proof of qualification and registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Demonstrate high level knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading a nursing team in a multidisciplinary environment utilising the principles of contemporary human, material, and financial resource management.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage complex, competing, and challenging situations utilising high level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a budget including operational planning, reporting and business planning framework application.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $13,684 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
