About the Role
Metro South Addiction Services provides a professional and confidential service for individuals, families and communities impacted by substance use. Our service provides a specialist multidisciplinary team approach, with a Harm Minimisation policy and a No Wrong Door philosophy by improving the health and wellbeing of those affected by alcohol and drugs, including people affected by the substance use of others and to increase awareness of alcohol and drug related issues within the Metro South Community.

The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of Alcohol and Drug services within the Queensland Opioid Treatment Program (including the delivery of care at Palen Creek Correctional Centre) and the delivery of psychosocial therapies.

• Responsible for clinical leadership for Addiction services through the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care.
• Maintain high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to inform and train the healthcare team of clinical practice updates and research findings within Addiction Services area.
• Utilise advanced clinical skills and expertise to support nurses in patient care planning, delivery and education.
