The purpose of the Clinical Nurse is to provide clinical expertise, support and education to clients attending the BreastScreen service.

Generous casual rates of $66.97– $71.71 (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)  and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
• Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
• Highly Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the position or working towards a relevant qualification.
• Adult Life Support Certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per Townsville Hospital and Health Service policy Life Support Training and Assessment.
• Ongoing professional development relevant to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of nursing staff within BreastScreen.
• Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
• Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within the Rural Hospitals Service Group network and other Hospital and Health Services
• This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
