The Strategy, Governance and Engagement team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Correspondence Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Strategy Governance and Engagement within the Office of the Health Service Chief Executive, the Correspondence Officer provides support across the functions of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.

The Correspondence Officer coordinates the flow of information within Mackay Hospital and Health Service and externally to stakeholders in support of the Health Service Chief Executive and the Mackay Hospital and Health Service Executive Leadership Team. The Correspondence Officer also manages critical and emergent issues, incoming health inquiries and correspondence and consumer feedback.

The Correspondence Officer is responsible for supporting the Health Service Chief Executive to coordinate the activities of the department at the highest level and ensure coordinated, comprehensive and accurate advice is available to the Health Service Chief Executive and the Mackay Hospital and Health Service Executive Leadership Team in relation to a range of Health Service functions.
