NHS Highland - More jobs by this advertiser

The well-established ANP service in Raigmore Hospital is expanding and introducing new and exciting roles to further enhance the ANP and medical workforce. Presently, our service consists of 19 qualified ANP’s, 6 Trainee ANP’s and 9 Assistant Practitioners.  Our ANP’s provide 24 hour cover across all acute inpatient wards, excluding level 2/3 areas within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness and National Treatment Centre – Highland (NTC-H).

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals, with generalist skills in advanced practice to join our team as a Bank Advanced Nurse Practitioner, with opportunities to work across both the Raigmore and NTC-H sites.  Applicants must have acute hospital experience at advanced practice level and have achieved appropriate Masters level qualification in Advanced Practice which has enabled competence in:

  • Clinical assessment
  • Clinical reasoning, judgement and diagnostic decision making
  • Anatomy and pathophysiology
  • Non-medical prescribing - V300
  • Leading, delivering and evaluating care
  • Practice learning/transferable work based learning

Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is desirable for shifts within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, however is essential for NTC-H.

Successful applicants will be supported by an ANP Lead/Practice Development Nurse.  Consideration will be given to learning and development needs required of this post, which are not necessary in candidate’s substantive post, and to those holding this post as their sole employment.

Informal enquiries are welcomed to:
