About this role The WA Eating Disorders Outreach and Consultation Service (WAEDOCS) is a state-wide service that aims to ensure optimal access to best practice treatment for people ages 16 years and over in WA experiencing an eating disorder. Our multidisciplinary team provides consultation and education to up-skill and support health care professionals to deliver evidence-based high-quality eating disorders care. As part of a recent expansion of ED services in WA, WAEDOCS has been funded to expand its services, including the creation of this senior nursing position. This is an exciting time for the service as we seek to build on our networks with national organisations as well as continue to lead and innovate in the delivery of education, and support of clinicians working with people with eating disorders. The Clinical Nurse Consultant practises as a Senior Registered Nurse (SRN) in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart. In this role you will demonstrate your expert knowledge, competency and experience in the field of eating disorders, providing extensive consultation, strong clinical leadership and management within the organisation, clinical division and area(s) of responsibility. You will also uphold and function within the core values of the organisation and nursing values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity. This role reports to Director Eating Disorders Services.
