Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Urgent Care Centre

Fixed  Term – 56 hours per fortnight - to commence 29th April 2024 until 5th January 2025

Classification : dependent on qualifications and experience

Award : Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024

An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to step up into a leadership role, working as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager within our Urgent Care Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operational management of the Urgent Care Centre, in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Motivated team leader
  • Emergency qualifications and/or experience
  • Advanced level of skill within an ED/UCC environment
  • Patient centred care
  • Advanced Life Support certificate

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications / Experience

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Post Graduate Qualification or working towards.
  • Clinical experience in the relevant speciality.

Specialist Expertise

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of professional nursing issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial management.
  • Manages and engages with stakeholders consistent with MDHS values of GREAT
  • Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.

Personal Qualities

  • Possess highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution strategies.
