The hospital features a 24/7 Emergency Department, encompassing a comprehensive spectrum of medical and surgical specialties, along with the capacity to perform highly complex surgeries. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and a wealth of expertise, our facilities include 15 operating theatres—one of which is a hybrid theatre—diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac catheterization laboratories, and specialized services for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology, among others.

As an ANUM - Cardiac your responsibilities will include:
  • Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based.
  • Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
  • Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Undertaking direct patient care, as required

Selection Criteria:
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Working with Children check (if relevant)
  • 5+ years of cardiac experience
  • Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive role modelling behaviours
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
