Start a new journey with West Moreton Health! • The Clinical Nurse Consultant works within the Paediatric Services which provides 23 acute inpatients beds, to Children and Young persons from 0-16yrs of age requiring Medical, Surgical, ENT, Gynaecological or Mental Health treatment using a family centred care framework. • Permanent full-time opportunity available The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the General Paediatric Multi-Disciplinary Team (Medical, Nursing and Allied Health) to support the clinical unit in the provision of safe quality healthcare, through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice. The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of General Paediatric Medicine. The Clinical Nurse Consultant portfolio provides evidence based, high quality, safe, timely and sustainable paediatric care to the children and young people accessing Paediatric Services within The Women, Children & Family Division of West Moreton Health The CNC: has an advanced level of autonomous professional clinical practice has an advanced level of decision making in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team undertakes expert clinical leadership works collectively to apply the principles of clinical governance This role may be eligible for the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive. See link – About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrates the ability to apply specialised knowledge of contemporary paediatric practice and theory throughout paediatric care and to participate directly and indirectly in the delivery of clinical care. Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard in the Women, Children and Family division. Demonstrates expert level of contemporary clinical paediatric knowledge, expertise and skills in paediatric practice and leadership enabling the delivery and supporting high quality care provision. Demonstrated management experience and capability with an ability and commitment to practice collaboratively within the paediatric service and the broader multidisciplinary health care team to deliver high quality care. Demonstrated advanced and effective communication, relationship development and maintenance and change management skills. Demonstrated contemporary paediatric clinical expertise to the level and duration specified in the Mandatory Qualification section. Demonstrated ability to be an effective paediatric health professional with capability for high level engagement across the spectrum of stakeholders including patients and families. Demonstrated legislation / policy knowledge and the ability to develop documents supporting the application of same.
