The role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Mental Health and Other Drugs (MHAOD), you will lead the effective and efficient implementation of the digital roadmap and will play a key role in the transition to a digital enabled healthcare environment. 
 
You will also:

  • Provide high level advice and expert guidance on mental health, alcohol, and other drug strategies.
  • Creating and executing the informatics and performance monitoring programs across the state, aligning with Queensland Health digital strategy and providing assistance to Hospital and Health Services in providing excellent healthcare outcomes for MHAOD service consumers.
  • Encourage and successfully promote strategic and cooperative partnerships and connections with key stakeholders.

The successful person

The successful candidate will have In-depth knowledge Mental Health and Other Drugs services and systems while developing innovative solutions.  You will also have a high level of experience and knowledge in strategic leadership and project management in a large complex environment. You will have experience in the delivery and management of strategic activities and articulate the strategic priorities and initiatives to a diverse range of stakeholders.  Providing strong leadership at a senior level, which includes effectively overseeing a team, offering guidance, encouraging and motivating staff, and creating a work environment that values employees and supports their growth will be highly valued.
