About the role:

Become part of a great team committed to delivering great care to Central Queenslanders and enjoying life. The position of Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist is to assist the Clinical Directors in:

  • Ensuring that Specialist Anaesthesia services provided by CQHHS are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner given available resources.
  • The education and supervision of trainees, junior medical staff, medical students and other health practitioners including Nursing staff.
  • The day-to-day management of Anaesthesia services including active participation in patient safety, clinical audit, investigation and management of adverse clinical incidents and complaints, research, and service planning activities.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
  • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program of appropriate College.

Salary Information (L18-L24):

Total remuneration value of $427,113 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $204,206 - $237,196 p.a.

Salary Information (L25-L27):

Total remuneration value of $514,421 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $244,201 - $258,910 p.a.
