About the role

To provide specialist advice, leadership and complex decision making for the business management and development of the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Learning (Learning Centre). It will provide high level strategic and operational management for the unit's Infrastructure Team.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • High level quality business management focus with an ability to identify, research and recommend quality improvement and business development initiatives.
  • Application of strategic thinking skills, including the ability to critically analyse service performance, identify and implement appropriate, innovative, and competitive approaches to service delivery and resource utilisation. This requires a demonstrated high level ability in developing and implementing appropriate strategic and tactical responses to complex issues in a highly changeable environment.
  • Commercial acumen, together with high level project management expertise e.g. managing projects independently, including setting workload priorities and meeting deadlines. This requires demonstrated success in establishing governance frameworks, tools and templates, and business process methodologies that support streamlined processes.
  • High level interpersonal, negotiation and written communication skills to support the preparation of confidential documents using advanced knowledge of contemporary computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office, DSS, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Internet and advanced typing skills.
  • Ability to supervise and manage staff and complex operational issues successfully in line with quality human resource management practices.
