An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation service within Nairn Town and County Hospital. 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Occupational Therapists who have expertise in a variety of specialities including general medicine, elderly care, frailty, orthopaedics and community. 

The candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to manage complexity through skilled assessments, communication and treatments. Your interventions will reflect your evidence based knowledge and a client centred approach to support discharge planning. Integrated working is vital to this post and therefore, an ability to work independently and as part of a wider team is essential. 

Your working day will include managing waiting lists, prioritising activities and delegating duties to junior qualified staff and Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioners. In addition, you will have responsibilities for mentoring students.

You will have full support from your AHP colleagues and work closely with Care at Home and Enablement teams and the wider multidisciplinary team members. 

The AHP department offers a formal in service training programme which you will both lead and participate in and you will also have access to peer support and wider organisational opportunities. 

To be considered for this post you must be HCPC registered and hold a BSc or MSc degree in Occupational Therapy. In addition, you must be a UK car driver with access to a vehicle due to community working.

The service operates Monday through to Friday 0830-1630 and there is no weekend, public holiday or on call cover.
