The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Neuropsychologist – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Utilise clinical judgement with minimum supervision in the selection of appropriate psychometric tests and preparation of psychological reports and treatment recommendations
  • Participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of group programs for patients with complex needs that is evidence based
  • Contribute a high level of neuropsychological consultation and ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals
  • Maintain own professional development by participating in seminars, further training and professional interaction with other Psychologists

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution
  • A post-graduate qualification in Neuropsychology
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent Full time
  • Base salary ranging from $124 435 - $133 901 per annum

About Us

The Acute Psychology Service is located within Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services, and provides both inpatient and outpatient services to patients presenting to hospital with physical health and comorbid psychological and neuropsychological conditions. The Acute Psychology Service team work within and alongside interdisciplinary teams, providing holistic person-centred care across the patient's hospital and discharge journey.
