The role 

Reporting to the Manager, Business Services. Your role will be to provide the effective and timely coordination of business support functions enabling business continuity and success. The Assistant Business Manager provides quality assurance in the form of valuable and ethical compliance and governance, assisting management's decision-making processes. 

The successful person

You will have demonstrated:

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of contemporary financial management, human resource and procurement legislation, policies, and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in successful leading, managing and developing a diverse team within a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven ability in developing and implementing business improvement initiatives to directly enhance service delivery outcomes and expectations.
  • Demonstrate high level consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to direct and influence others through the provision of advice and preparation of reports, briefs, recommendations, and proposals.

The Corporate Services Division provides support services necessary for Queensland Health to function effectively and deliver essential health services. The Division is responsible for major corporate functions including financial, legal and human resources services, information management services and overseeing key governance functions such as risk, audit and compliance.
