The role 

Reporting to the the Director, ODDG, the Senior Program Officer is responsible for the development and maintenance of systems and processes to support the monitoring and reporting of divisional objectives and deliverables scheduled across the division.

The role will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders of the ODDG and be responsible for the strategic communications of the ODDG. 

The successful person

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate:

  • Written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare high quality documentation, such as briefings, submissions, memos, reports, minutes, correspondence, accurate reports and communication papers and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • High level administrative and organisational skills and the ability to coordinate and complete tasks within given timeframes.
  • Effective consultation and facilitation skills, including the ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement responsive solutions to address issues.

The Division collaborates with health system leaders, Hospital and Health Services (HHS), clinical networks, key healthcare service providers, research and academic organisations, State and Commonwealth agencies as well as non-government organisations and other divisions.
