About your opportunity:

Permanent full-time opportunity in the Cardiac & Surgical Investigations Unit.

The Director is responsible for clinical, operational and human resource management and delivery of complex cardiac and surgical investigations of a major tertiary referral hospital.

The position requires a high-level clinical expertise and leadership with accountabilities for staff management, professional development, professional standards and service delivery.

Generous remuneration package value up to $185,2330 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $6011.50 to $6222.70 p.f. (HP6)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:

  • The successful applicant must hold a relevant tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification with a strong component of human anatomy and physiology, from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • While not mandatory the following shall be highly regarded:
    • Membership (or eligibility for membership) to the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification
    • Graduate Diploma of Cardiac Electrophysiology if the applicant's clinical specialty is Cardiac devices/Electrophysiology.
    • A post-graduate or education experience in areas of Health Management.
  • If the candidate holds an ultrasound qualification is mandatory to hold registration (eligible for registration) with the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry as an Accredited Medical Sonographer if the applicant's clinical specialty is echocardiography.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
