Full Job Description Job Title: Cardiologist About Bass Coast Health Bass Coast Health(BCH) is the sub-regional health service for the Bass Coast and SouthGippsland Shires, with sites at Wonthaggi, Cowes, San Remo. In orderto support our rapidly growing population, we're growing our servicesand the complexity of our organisation. This includes adding a new$115 million hospital expansion and renovated facilities to ensure wemeet the increasing health care needs of our region. PositionSummary A Cardiologist is a full qualified and admitted Medical Doctorworking in a hospital setting. This position will be factional/fulltime salaried position with limited right to private practice. Thisposition will be involved in the education and supervision ofundergraduate and postgraduate trainees. The Cardiologist will reportto the Chief Medical Officer. The Cardiologist will: • Be part of theSenior Medical Team at BCH. • Provide inpatient care to medicalpatients within credentialed privileges granted. • Provide assessmentservices for patients attending the Emergency Department whenrequired. • If employed in a salaried capacity provide outpatientservices to referred patients. • Provide consultative and medicalmanagement support to other specialists. • Provide supervision andtraining to medical students, interns, registrars and other juniormedical and nursing staff.
