HSE Technician

Mars Petcare  is looking to add to their HSE Team!  Bring an enthusiasm to Health, Safety & Environment Technician  and join the Mars Team as you become the expert in workplace safety ensuring our associates leave work the same way they arrived.

You will be working closely with the Operations Manager & the HSE Manager to deliver strong Health, Safety & Environment performance. You will display confidence in supporting & coaching the wider business on adhering to the required standards and continuously improving the safety performance & culture.

What are we looking for?
  • Degree qualifications or equivalent experience and skills - Diploma WHS or Cert IV WHS (preferred)
  • Proven experience working in a HSE role or implementing HSE practices
  • Working within a Manufacturing or FMCG is preferrable
  • Strong safety regulatory knowledge and expertise
  • Action orientated individual, with an ability to build rapport with all functions of the business
  • Skills to communicate and consult HSE content to individuals and groups when required
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Confidence in providing expert knowledge and guidance on HSE matters
  • Ensure accountability across sites
  • Assist/Coach/Lead on Incident Management
  • Associate coaching and compliance monitoring
  • Handle incident management, investigations and corrective actions
  • Drive and participate in projects aimed at lowering risks associated with Health & Safety
  • Responsible for supporting the development and deployment of all Company HSE Standards as they specifically apply to the site.
