About your opportunity

Permanent part-time / 48 hours per fortnight

This position will support the management and coordination of the operations of the Patient Travel Services and ensure the provision of a quality, cost effective and efficient service, in accordance with Queensland Health and THHS policies, Procedures, Standards, Guidelines and The Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme.

Role requirements:

  • Excellent communication oral and written skills with the ability to interact professionally and sensitively with all levels of staff, patients and general public.
  • Proficiency in the application of computer software for word processing, spread sheeting and internal hospital information systems.
  • Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to ensure the best possible service outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethics, with a proven ability to work effectively, autonomously and provide ethical decision making in the achievement of department and organisational goals and to meet deadlines and established work priorities
  • Maintain discretion and exercise judgment where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse client travel requirements and to arrange travel in accordance with Queensland Health policies and procedures, Knowledge of or an ability to rapidly acquire knowledge about the travel industry and performance of booking/purchasing travel and related services.

Generous remuneration package value up to $59,880 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $37.68 to $41.90 p.h. (AO3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Probation period may apply.
