About us:

Rockhampton Hospital is the largest hospital in Central Queensland and the main referral hub for the region. Operational Services support clinical staff to deliver the best possible care to patients. From providing nutritious meals, to transporting patients throughout the hospital, to keeping our hospital clean, the Operational Services team are integral to running an effective and safe hospital.  

About the role:

Support the management team in coordinating and supervising approximately 55 staff at the Rockhampton campus overseeing and providing direct support to the Food Services department. This diverse position supports the production of delivering over 700 nutritious main meals every day, adhering to dietary requirements and standards within a health service, while utilising the digital menu management system. Our Food Services department is a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines, with the Food Services Supervisor a crucial member of our leadership team.

About you:

The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply leadership skills in a large team.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines with an understanding of Food Safety Standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and sensitively with all levels of staff, patients and the general public.
  • Basic level of computer skills.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $89,086 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $36.00 - $39.37 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
