GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN - GRANDE PRAIRIE:  The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is seeking a General Internal Medicine Specialist Physician to join the internal medicine physician group in Grande Prairie - Grande Prairie Regional Hospital - VIRTUAL TOUR

FRCPC (Fellow, Royal College of Physicians of Canada) designation (or eligibility) is desired.

The Internal Medicine specialist physician will have Alberta Health Services hospital privileges.

This position will include Internal Medicine hospital on-call, with opportunity to participate in the "reading pool" for ECG's and opportunity to perform Exercise Stress Testing (with CPSA approval).

Duties include but not limited to:
• Reside in and have as his/her primary residence, Grande Prairie
• Establish and maintain a full time community based practice within the community
• Provide ICU/CCU and internal medicine in-patient hospital and call assistance as required
• Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
• Contribute to and participate in other administrative duties as assigned.

The successful candidate may choose to operate their business by joining an existing practice or by opening their own practice. This is the candidate's business choice and will not be managed through the recruitment process.

The new hospital also includes radiation therapy services, further increasing the capacity to provide services to the people of Northwestern Alberta and Northeastern British Columbia. Required Qualifications:

  • Royal College of Physicians of Canada Certification (RCPC) or RCPSC eligibility - desired
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
