University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) - based at South Bristol Academy - seeks applicants for Clinical Teaching Fellows to commence in August 2024 for one year. There are a number of  posts available for one year. 

 The post provides an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a highly active undergraduate clinical teaching setting which is part of a busy inner city University Hospital. The successful candidates will be part of the South Bristol Academy team, will be actively involved in organising and delivering undergraduate medical education on behalf of University of Bristol, and will be encouraged to undertake a funded Certificate in Teaching & Learning for Healthcare Professionals. As such, you will benefit from the experience of simultaneously working for two major organisations.  

8 sessions each week are allocated for teaching undergraduate medical education and 2 sessions are allocated for clinical service in a specialty area of their choice.

Enjoy working alongside a wide variety of professionals (UHBW Consultants, Clinical Education Fellows, administrative staff and University academics)  Enjoy working in a busy office environment and will enjoy interacting with medical students Are someone who is used to managing their own time and workload, and who will enjoy the challenge of being involved in curriculum delivery, timetabling and assessments. Have excellent IT and communication skills and be familiar with all common computer software packages. Like working in close-knit and supportive teams. 

 This appointment will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of Service of Trust grade Doctors (2016) and may be subject to amendment.
