The role
Reporting to the Assistant Project Director for the Townsville Hospital Expansion Project, Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Branch, the Senior Manager will lead and manage the delivery of small to large scale capital works projects within the HCD project management methodology and governance structure. 

Responsibilities include: 
•    Providing leadership and high-level project management skills in the initiation, development, implementation, and evaluations of complex or high-risk projects in line with Queensland Health approved project management methodologies.
•    Effectively managing the engagement and performance of project consultants and contractors to enable the delivery of an on time, on budget quality project.
•    Supervising, managing, and motivating multi-disciplinary team/s within a complex health environment to achieve project goals and outcomes and to ensure project management capability is maintained.
•    Proactively influence project management activities, in line with the Queensland Health project management methodology (project lifecycle), developing formal project plans, budgets, supporting documentation and records and registers.

The successful person
The successful person will demonstrate:
•    High level knowledge of project and program management methodologies in addition to extensive high-level experience and successful performance in leading, managing and delivering medium to large scale complex or high-risk projects within a health infrastructure service delivery environment (or similar).
•    Extensive high-level experience in preparing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on complex program/project budgets and knowledge of financial pressures and constraints impacting on delivery.
•    High level ability with proven success to lead and manage consultants, contractors, and multi-disciplinary project teams' line with quality human and financial resource management practices.
•    Highly developed communication, interpersonal, consultation, partnership, and negotiation skills to create a strong client focus, influence the decisions, action or perceptions of stakeholders and achieve outcomes and maintain effective relationships.
•    Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
