About the role:

Responsible for providing, developing, and maintaining an efficient, effective, ethical, and confidential administrative and secretarial support services to the Director and other Department Staff. This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position while maintaining open channels of communication between all staff within the department and other members of multidisciplinary teams.

  • Organise, coordinate, and manage all secretarial and administrative aspects, including diary management, for the Director/s and staff in a professional manner.
  • Act as primary point of contact for the unit for all incoming and outgoing communication.
  • Liaise with staff and clients to ensure adequate coverage is provided for the department's activities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and fairness.

About you:

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and act as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team to provide an effective customer focused service.
  • Possession of a working knowledge or an ability to rapidly acquire a sound knowledge of medical terminology.
  • High level interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with officers at all levels within a large organisation, the general public and external agencies with the possession of tact, diplomacy and discretion.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $7,901 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $37.68 - $41.90 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
