The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist (Mental Health - Orchid Inpatient Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide input into the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams
  • Attend and contribute to relevant clinical, professional and departmental meetings
  • Provide student education and clinical practice supervision to less experienced physiotherapists

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Physiotherapy
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent part time (38 hrs p.f)
  • Base salary ranging from $38.70 - $56.89 per hour

Provide clinical Physiotherapy services to patients within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service in the Acute Older Persons Mental Health Unit and across other Mental Health clinical areas at Gold Coast University Hospital.
