  5. National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) Examination: Pass the NAC Examination, which evaluates your readiness for a Canadian residency program. This exam includes a series of objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs).
  6. Eligibility for Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA): Apply for and be eligible to participate in Alberta Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA) program. This involves:      - Providing proof of recent clinical practice experience (usually a minimum of 12 months of active practice within the last three years).      - Submitting detailed curriculum vitae (CV) and other relevant documentation.      - Meeting the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) criteria for registration.
  7. Sponsorship and Support: Secure sponsorship from an Alberta healthcare organization or employer willing to support your PRA and potential employment. Sponsorship is often essential for securing a supervised practice position.
  8. Immigration Status: Ensure you have the appropriate immigration status, such as a work permit or permanent residency, to legally work in Canada. Our Clinic will assist with the immigration process.

  10. Continuing Medical Education (CME): Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to CME requirements as mandated by the CPSA and relevant certification bodies.    Each of these steps is designed to ensure that international medical graduates meet the high standards required to practice medicine in Alberta and Canada as a whole.
