The Women's and Children's Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Stream Support Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

To provide high level and confidential executive and administrative support to ensure Operations Director, Director of Nursing and Business Manager deliver on their delegated accountabilities.

About the Team

The Women's Health Service is defined as a level 4 Maternity and Neonatal Service as defined in the Clinical Services Capability Framework. The unit is capable of providing maternity care for low and moderate-risk women. The service is multi-disciplinary and offers several maternity models of care, including providing or referring to midwifery community care.

Antenatal care for women with moderate risk of obstetric complications may be on-site or in the community under the care of a midwife or registered medical practitioner in consultation with or under the care of an obstetrician, also known as Shared Care. Multi-disciplinary team care is provided to women with high-risk pregnancies; the Antenatal Diabetes clinic is a combined team effort which provides women access to Medical, Obstetric and Endocrinology care and a qualified Diabetes Educator.
