The Senior Project Officer will facilitate the development of relevant project documentation and apply appropriate project management techniques, methods and tools, to ensure quality outcomes are delivered across the project lifecycle.

About the Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation Portfolio:

The Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation (P&SCO) Portfolio builds on the foundational work undertaken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to drive operational enhancements and realise further Queensland Health system-wide benefits. The P&SCO Portfolio is a time-limited, temporary work program, currently consisting of three program workstreams, designed to improve procurement and supply chain operations across Queensland Health. 

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate complex projects, applying project methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including resilience and the ability to positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change with the ability to consult and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders to assist with the formation of collaborative solutions and assist with the implementation appropriate strategic responses. 
  • Proven issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and documentation to complex issues.
  • Ability to work productively both independently and within a team to achieve project and program outcomes.
