Our client is seeking Emergency Medicine Trainees and/or Registrars to join their team. While they prefer Advanced Trainees to complement their existing group, they are open to discussing positions with any registered Trainees seeking a lifestyle change while continuing their training.
Situated in a bustling regional center serving a population of 80,000, our Emergency Department handles a diverse case mix, treating approximately 35,000 patients annually, including 20% pediatric cases, with an admission rate of 16-20%. FACEM coverage is provided from 0830-2300, 7 days a week, with a well-equipped department featuring 12 treatment bays, 3 fast track cubicles, 2 resuscitation bays, and an 8-bed short stay unit.

Supported by surgical, medical, pediatric, obstetrics & gynecology, psychiatric, anesthetic, and ICU services, our Emergency Department serves as a regional trauma center, with strong backing from Adult Retrieval Victoria.

Currently, the department is staffed by 4 full-time FACEMs, supplemented by regular FACEM locums providing additional clinical oversight. Accredited for 6 months of Advanced Training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, including a pediatric log-book, this position offers valuable training opportunities in a dynamic clinical environment
