The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator – Practice Development) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Demonstrate advanced-level neonatal nursing expertise and problem-solving skills
- Support the Nurse Educator by facilitating education-based programs
- Role model a family-centred approach to patient care
- Participate in policy and guideline review and development
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time, temporary part time
- Base salary ranging from $54.44 - $58.30 per hour
About Us
The Newborn Care Unit (NCU) at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) is part of Women, Newborn and Children's Health (WNCH) and is comprised of a 12-cot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a 24-cot Special Care Nursery (SCN). NICU admits babies fulfilling Level 6 Queensland Clinical Services Capability Framework criteria.
Babies requiring cardiac surgery or with complex surgical conditions are managed at Mater Mother's or Queensland Children's Hospital. Neonatal Retrieval Emergency Service Southern Queensland (NeoRESQ) based at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in Brisbane coordinate and provide a neonatal emergency retrieval service.
