About you:
You are a qualified Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist or Social Worker or Psychologist with demonstrated high-level knowledge, skills, and expertise in the provision of culturally competent therapeutic mental health clinical services to children, young people, and their family/carers, including application of relevant State and National legislative, professional guidelines and duty of care obligations applicable to working within a specialist mental health care service. You have demonstrated high-level clinical and professional leadership skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a flexible and innovative multi-disciplinary team setting, incorporating an interagency systemic model of care for children and young people at risk of or in Departmental care and you are competent in providing evidence informed assessment and treatment interventions as relevant to children, adolescents, and their family/carers, with the ability to adapt or modify standard methods or procedures to accommodate the needs of children and young people in out-of-homecare who present with severe and complex mental health challenges.
Your opportunity:
You will be responsible for delivering high quality training for residential care providers, foster and kinship carers, and other stakeholders regarding trauma informed care and attachment issues for children in care, high-level evidence-informed clinical mental health services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention and evaluation, to children and young people engaged with Child Safety Services, Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women who present with extreme and complex emotional and behaviour challenges.
You will provide quality evidence-based professional and clinical leadership, in partnership with the Evolve Therapeutic Services Senior Clinicians and Clinical Lead.
