The role
Fixed term temporary full time role commencing 12.08.2024 to 14.05.2025.
Normanton Hospital and Community Health offers service to the patient catchment from the townships of Normanton and Karumba. In addition to this patients attend from other surrounding towns, stations and vessels in lower gulf waters. A range of services are offered including, but not limited to Accident and Emergency treatment, general inpatient services, outpatient clinics, visiting specialist clinics while working collaboratively with community health and other service providers in this area.
The township of Normanton offers the ‘outback' experience, a laid back lifestyle while providing access to everyday needs and easy access to recreational activities ranging from sports, outdoor activities and social groups.
This role works in the Normanton Hospital and Community Health facility providing advanced professional and clinical leadership in the delivery and coordination of professional, safe and quality patient and family centred nursing care; and iscommitted to enhancing and enabling patient experience and outcomes by leading support, collaboration, and partnership with patient, families/carers and other health service providers at Normanton Hospital.
Requirements
Whilst not mandatory, clinical experience across all areas of rural and remote services would be highly desirable.
Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences, evidence of these will be required prior to appointment. Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful candidate; this may include criminal history checks and Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role compliance. VPD risk roles may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis.
