The Location
Located on a pristine coast line this city has a population of 20,000 residents and well developed infrastructure with a vibrant shopping district that spills onto the beach for seafood and coffee. The Facility
As part of the state wide health service you will be located in this modern 160 bed facility providing high quality health care to the local region. The hospital also offers services in medical, surgical and allied health specialties through inpatient and outpatient departments. The hospital has a strong relationship with the University of Tasmania's Rural Clinical School, and the secondary care facilities are both associated teaching hospitals with contemporary teaching environments.
 
The Role
You will be working in a team comprising of three Consultants, three Registrars and one RMO. This is a busy Obstetrics Unit with approximately 1000 deliveries per year and they are the referral unit for other hospitals across the state. They offer a range of clinics including antenatal complex care and diabetic along with general gynaecology and colposcopy. Outreach antenatal and gynaecology clinics are provided to three rural areas.

  • Eligible for or hold AHPRA Registration
  • Your full specialist training in the UK, USA, Canada or Ireland.
  • Have had your specialist training assessed by the RANZCOG and have been found to be comparable
