Mackay Hospital and Health Service ( https://www.mackay.health.qld.gov.au/ ) This role is to guide the provision of quality Neurology services. This includes outpatient clinics, inpatient consultation to medical teams, and being a clinical lead for the acute and subacute stroke service. The job is well supported by the neurology department at Townsville Hospital, Mackay's tertiary referral centre, who also provide endovascular clot retrieval for eligible patients. Active involvement in their teaching program and regular clinics/procedural clinics at Townsville encouraged, alongside the ability to do procedural work such as Botox injections on site. Neurophysiology (NCS/EEG) services are performed on site and reported in Townsville. You will work as a part of the General Medicine department and report to the Clinical Director of Medicine. Currently, we provide the following outpatient clinics: General Neurology clinics and Botulinum Toxin clinics for chronic migraines. Applicants will be supported if they want to run other specialised clinics also.
