The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) Team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Carpenter to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The primary focus will be to lead, direct and be accountable for the day to day operations of carpentry and provide expert advice on carpentry matters, to the Mackay Trades Coordinator.

To liaise with Carpentry contractors for the Mackay Base Hospital and Health Service.

About the Team

The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) department has three distinct sections, the Maintenace Team, Capital Works and Administration Team.  The Building Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) provides integral maintenance and engineering support for multiple facilities, across the Mackay Hospital & Health Service, to ensure relevant compliance to OH&S and all relevant AS/NZ standards. We provide a one point contact for all building and facility related information. 

The Director Facilities Management is the senior manager for all BEMS services, the position reports to the Executive Director of Finance and Corporate Services.
