About your opportunity

The Women's and Children's Service Group are currently seeking to recruit a Data Manager to their team on a Fixed Term Temporary part-time basis, working 60 hours per fortnight from 01.07.2024 up to 29.06.2025 with possible 6 month extension. 

This position is responsible for the management of quality patient information systems, data collection and analysis for the Women's and Children's Service Group. There will be a focus on the assessment of data collection as a tool to provide useful information in improving outcomes and the service.

Generous remuneration package value up to $7292 p.m. comprising:

  • Salary range of $44.47 to $49.00 p.h. (AO4)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

The successful candidate will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the information requirements of a clinical service unit, ensuring the collection and analysis of relevant and accurate data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience, in medical terminology, and health information management.
  • Demonstrated ability to source, prepare and present reports, utilising pivot tables and graphs, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer programs relevant to the information management (HBCIS, Microsoft Excel, QHERS, DSS, ESM, Townsville Analytics and Reporting (Dashboard)).
  • Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal skills and effective communication with staff at all levels, external organisations, and professional groups.
  • An understanding of human resource management issues including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.

Requirements

  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
