About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Competent in the application of clinical problem solving and effective coordination of patient care at an advanced level.
  • Demonstrate an ability to deliver a high-quality service with the primary focus on achievement of organisational goals for the good of others.
  • Understand own strengths and limitations through self-awareness and self-management in an increasingly complex environment.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement processes and activities and ability to apply validated research to clinical practice. Lead Quality Improvement activities pertinent to HITH service.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will deliver direct nursing care at an advanced level, within a specific area of expertise whilst providing support and education to patients and other team members in this unit. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for a specific client population while providing support and direction to Registered Nurses and other non-registered nursing personnel.

About your role:

  • Provide effective and efficient clinical care in the area of clinical specialty and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
  • Provide leadership to effectively plan, manage and evaluate patient care activities at an advance practitioner level within the specified clinical setting.
  • Effectively manage self-development and work with the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator to meet unit nursing staff development need.
  • Undertake quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective patient care.
  • Apply contemporary human resource management principles to ensure that the unit working environment meets legislative standards and CHHHS policies and procedures.
