The opportunity   
This Enrolled Nurse position provides direct nursing care to patients utilising clinical skills under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) utilising education and support, encompassing purposeful evidenced based practice interventions to consumers, recognising safety of all. 

Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit ( https://www.townsville.health.qld.gov.au/services/mental-health/mental-health-rehabilitation/charters-towers-rehabilitation-unit-ctru/ ) provides opportunity and support for consumers to regain independence managing their mental illness in the community. 

Employment Term

  • 1 x Pemanent part-time, (40 hours per fortnight)
  • 3 x Casual positions 

Generous remuneration package (permanent part-time) value up to $44,516 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary rates between $4017.60 - $4302.00 p.h. (part-time) / $42.90 - $45.53 p.h. (casual rate) (NG3)
  • Annual leave loading + leave (not applicable to casua lrole)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution

Role requirements

  • Mandatory: Diploma of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
  • Shift work: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which may include participation in an on-call roster.
  • All employees of the MHSG may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
  • Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services (MHSG) to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of all staff within the MHSG.
  • All employees of the MHSG may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
