About you:

You are a qualified Clinical Nurse confident to lead with integrity. You have demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality renal service with the primary focus on achievement of organisational goals for the good of others and you are competent in the application of clinical problem solving and effective coordination of patient care at an advanced level.

Your opportunity: 

An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse to work with the Renal Dialysis team in Innisfail. The role requires you to assist with motivating the Dialysis team and assisting the Nurse Unit Manager to lead a diverse team of nurses and specialists. This role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and incorporates delegation of duties, and supervision of daily provision of care delivery in the unit. The Clinical Nurse's role is a pivotal one that requires a commitment to quality care, risk management, and professional development.

Your role: 

  • Provide effective and efficient clinical care in renal nursing and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
  • Provide direct clinical care and advice for dialysis-dependent clients with diverse and/or complex care requirements.
  • Provide leadership to effectively plan, manage, and evaluate patient care activities at an advanced practitioner level within the dialysis clinical setting.
  • Problem-solve and demonstrate sound clinical judgement on clinical issues at an advanced level in order to support nursing staff.
  • Effectively manage self-development and work with the Nurse Unit Manager/Clinical Nurse Educator to meet unit nursing staff development needs.
